This is "A History" rather than "The History" because it is a product of my memory and the documents in my possession. There may be those who remember the events covered here in a different way. History is like that. I hope people with different or additional recollections will feel free to contribute them.

It would be ideal if this document were to mention every person who participated in any one of The Guilderland Players' productions. Should I try to mention each and every one of you, I would certainly fail, and even should I succeed, the result would be a list of several thousand people and not very interesting (for those desiring to see a list of all The Guilderland Players, one is posted in the display case outside the theatre). So, I apologize in advance for leaving out more names than I include. Such omissions are in no way indicative of the value of the contribution of the Player omitted. I have decided to make this history both a list of facts and an anecdotal record. Forgive me if I run on: there are lots of stories to be told. I wish I could tell them all.

I suspect this will take some time to write, so it will be printed on the web site in installments.
